Went to the Belgian whippet clubshow and became 1 ex in workingclass and also Best working dog in show,(see results) the judge was Miss Wamberg from Denmark, she really liked me.

Hello Folks!
Here some news from me. have been on a show&coursing trip to Denmark . 7-8 Aug the Danish sighthound club held a show and coursing in Gilleleje. Moms father from Norway was visiting us and he decided to come along because he had never seen me course before and he was curious how I would doe ,so i decided to do my very best so he could se how good I was ,and I must say it worked :-) here are my results :
.Show: 1Ex Interm class,Best intermed dog of breed ,3best intermed dog in show.
Coursing : 2place +cert of 30 whippets ,3best in field 91 Sighthounds ,Best dog combination trophy Show+Coursing my trophy's from Gilleleje |

Hello Folks !
Yes ,I have coursed againe it was my first coursing after the accidente , the coursing was held in Vien and there where entered 27 males ,guess what ! I became 4th and got the Res. C.AC.I.L. Unfortunally I hurt my toe and now I have to rest (AGAIN GRRRR )for some weeks before doing another coursing . Dad says that we wil do some shows instead ,pfff..that is not where my heart lies but hey at least I am busy .
The belgian whippet club held their annual Specialty show in May and dad had entered me ,the wheater was terrible and everybody was complaining but I maneged to get a 2Exelent in my class so that made mom and dad happy and as the good boy I am I will be patience an tag along to shows until my toe has healed.

Hello Folks !
This time no coursing news ,no show news but a unlucky me story .
Me mom and dad my mother Spits ,Fitjar and little Igra my cousine where walking in the forest ,I was taking the lead as usual when I decided to check if everybody was still with us ,I turned around and saw that mom was way behinde us so I ran as fast as I could to fetch her, almost there I suddely felt a horrible pain in my upper leg/ chest .I have never felt such pain before so I cried and cried ,mom had seen what had happende and came running to pick me up ,apparently I had hit a branch and ripped my muscles and skin ,the wound was very deep .As the car was parked far away from the place of the accident mom and dad took turnes to carry me ,NOT that I am fat ,but muscles way more than fat and ..yeah I am a pretty muscled guy you know .We finnaly arriverd to the car and dad drove straith to the vet .at the vet mom layed me on the table and the vet took a look at my wound ,the vet said to mom 'he has to stay the night and I have to stitch him ' Stitch ..what the heck is stitch !? but what she said next worried me more ' he must not cours and run and he can only walk on the leash ' WHAAT !!!Me Ruben NOT COURSE !!! ..walk on A LEASH !! for the rest of my ...!!?? But then mom said ( she sometimes reads my mind ) ,'don't worry Ruben ,you will course again but for now you must rest and recover ' Pff.. what a relief ,the vet stuck a needle in my buttock and I started to get very sleepy . When I woke up I was alone ,for a moment I didn't know where I was but then I felt the pain in my leg and it all came back to me ,I was injured and I was at the vet's . Later that morning mom came to take me home ,I heard the vet talking to her so I "picked up my ears" the vet said 'every thing went okay ,what a sweet boy he is ,he has been ever so good " yeah !she was talking about ME ,Ruben the muscleman ..Ruben The lovely ...Ruben The sweet ..Ruben the ..okay okay ,enough . Back home ,everybody started kissing me ,giving me lots of goodies cuddles and attention,hmmm ..this is not so bad ,laying in the sofa all day beeing pampered ,but honestly ..can't wait to run again cause that is what I do ,that is what I am ,Ruben the RUNNER.

Hello Folks! Guess what,I have been abroad with dad,we went to Neustift Stubaital in Austria.One evening my dad said 'Ruben,it is time for your first official coursing and it will bee something special, we are going to Austria' I could feel his excitement and I knew this is going to bee fun .Dad starded packing all kind of stuff for me and my mother Spits because she was also coming along.So off we went me,dad,my mother and Marco a colleaque of dad from his work (Marco turned out to bee handy, giving me massages:-) After a long drive we arrived in Austria,boy , how beautiful it was ! high mountains with SNOW ! yeah I love snow!! then dad said 'Ruben you are going to make your débute coursing in the snow' wow how exciting I tought to my selfe ,this is going to be FUN .First we went to the hotell to unload our stuff and to have a rest ,my run wasn't untill the next day .Sunday we woke up early and drove to the coursing grounds,we hade to wait for a while before it was our turn and meanwhile Marco kept my feet warm :-).Then it was my turn ,my haert started pounceing faster and faster and as the arm of the starter went down I shot like a spear forwards and I ran as fast as I could with only one tought in my minde ..RUN ,RUBEN RUN!!. Dad said I did great I got a 4th place of 16 dogs with 519 points ,I could tell dad was very pround of me he walked arround with a big smile on his face the rest of the day, and me...I can not wait untill the next coursing so I can run and run and run,because that is what i love doing most in the whole world!!

Hello Folks! Yes i know, it's been a long time but here I am again.This summer mom's brother from Norway came and visited us, and of corse I had to check this stranger out .He turned out to bee okay so i dicided to have him and his cuddles all to myself but unfortunatly all the other dogs wanted a "piece"of him too !! GRRRR ...I always have to share!!
Now for my BIG news .... I have got my coursing and racing licence !! been trainig a lot so i can partisipate for real next season ..YEAH RUBEN IS COMING!!!
